Cycling is a highly pleasurable activity, but the consequences of even the most harmless-looking bicycle accident can be very far from pleasant. Which is why it’s so important to learn about cycle safety.
One of the key issues from the safety point of view is that cyclists on the road should be as visible as possible. This means that there should be reflective elements on both the bike and on the cyclist’s clothing. Polnord, this year’s Safe Riding sponsor of the event, will be ensuring the visibility of the participants of the ‘Suits on Bikes’ discussion ride with city planners, by kindly providing such reflective accessories.
Polnord’s policy goes hand-in-hand with the concept of our bike ride. The activities it undertakes include encouraging environmental awareness, such as through education and the promotion of cycling as a more environmentally friendly mode of travel.
“We are very pleased to have gained a partner that cares so much for the environment and the concept of resident-friendly cities,” emphasises Katarzyna Matejuk of Eurobuild Conferences, the organiser of the event.
A bicycle ride is a perfect way of bringing people together, therefore the ‘Suits on Bikes’ ride will be a good opportunity to get to know and integrate with Polnord’s representatives. So see you all soon at the starting line – on May 23rd.
